Smooth Scroll

TOP TOC has smooth-scroll forced applied. However, when using anchor links to scroll upwards, the margin cannot be adjusted. If there is a sticky title at the top of the page, the text gets hidden. Please add a function to leave empty space when scrolling upwards.

Hello Sir,

Thank you for bringing up the concern about the smooth-scroll feature in the Table of Contents plugin.

We understand the issue where anchor links scroll upwards without leaving enough space for a sticky title, causing the text to be hidden. To address this, we plan to add a function that ensures an empty space (margin) is left at the top when scrolling upwards. This will resolve the issue and prevent content from being obscured by sticky headers or titles.

It would be extremely helpful if you could share a short video demonstrating your specific requirements. This will allow us to better observe and understand the issue to provide an accurate solution.

Looking forward to your response!

Thanks,

I am using the GeneratePress theme. I have a Sticky Title that hides when scrolling down and appears when scrolling up. As shown in the video, the text in the title gets obscured when scrolling up.

Hello Sir,

We apologize for the delay in replying. Since our office is closed on Fridays, it took us a little longer to get back to you. We’re truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for sharing the video showing the issue—it really helps us understand the problem better.

It seems the sticky title is getting hidden due to a styling or JavaScript issue. To fix this, could you please share your site credentials with us? If you’re not comfortable sharing live site access, you can use a staging site instead, which is a safer option.

Once we have access, we’ll check and solve the issue quickly for you.

Looking forward to your response!

Thanks,

The sticky title hides when scrolling down and appears when scrolling up, which is the default behavior of the GeneratePress theme. All that’s needed is to individually add something like scroll-margin-top when scrolling up or down.

Please guide me on how to adjust the margin when clicking on a #link in the Floating Navigation without modifying the sticky title.

Thank you. I checked general and title but didn’t think to look into heading. That was my mistake.
However, your responses are too slow. It wasn’t an issue that should have taken a week.
I thought the feature didn’t exist, but simply writing [TOP Table of Contents → Heading → Offset from top] would have been enough for me to understand.
It didn’t seem necessary to access the site or include a video explanation.
Anyway, thank you for your kind assistance.
